Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know of any good tutorials for using PHP/MySql to create a "shopping cart" solution.

    Cheers

read Kevin's tutorial on PHP/MySQL and Chris's on Cookies http://www.my-coding.com

using those two, and mabey a few on sessions, also available on webmasterbase.com, you should have the knowledge you need to properly build a functional shopping cart. There are several shopping carts out there, however, in PHP that you could probably make work for your purposes.

I'm currently building one that is custom for a client, it's the first I've ever done, but after reading Kevin's AWESOME tutorial it's coming along fairly easy...

    god bless

    Thanks exbabylon,

I am working through various tutorials for php, just thought that there may be a shopping cart specific one out there somewhere.

Any idea where I find the pre-written php ones? I am looking to provide free carts (have some backing), ie: user simply pays bank and psp charges, no "cart usage" charges whatsoever.

In answer to my own question, if anyone finds this thread and has the same query....

I found what at first glance looks to be exactly what I was looking for at : http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/PHP/Commerce1/
