    Exclamation 1044 Error - Seems Common - Can't Fix!

Okay as most people who have had this error, I have installed MySQL and PHP 5.0 with Apache 2 on Windows XP. Whenever I try to do anything in command prompt it will say "Error 1044:..." I have checked my user name and password. Please help me out.

Okay, now can someone tell me how to login and then create a new DB. I get a Access Denied when I try to login, maybe because of my syntax.

Were you able to set up a password for your root user by using the reference on my first post? If you did and still can't connect, please provide the code you are using. I'm guessing you are trying to login through the command prompt, but I still woud like to see the code.

Also, there are several GUI for managing MySQL pretty easy, like phpMyAdmin or MySQL Front. I have never used MySQL Front, but phpMyAdmin is something you must definitely have.
