    mouseover, onclick bs

    What I'm trying to do is have a description of a link appear under the link. here's my code:
    Code:
        <a href="java_script_:;" onmouseover="link(event, 0)"
        onmouseout="link(event, 3)">
       Flash Tutorials</a>
    Right now that calls an external javascript file which makes the description appear in a <div> below the link. now what I need is the onclick command to make it go to the other page when you click. i suck at javascript. can someone help me out?
    thanks

    Try this:

    Code:
     <a href="java_script_:window.location="newpage.html;" onmouseover="link(event, 0)" onmouseout="link(event, 3)">
       Flash Tutorials</a>

    You might be able to use something like this:

    Code:
    <a target="_nikon"
       title="This link opens a new window"
       href="http://www.nikonusa.com/">Nikon</a>

    that was entirely too simple! thanks!

    like i said, i don't know much about javascript. i got this code from a tutorial, but there's had it display text on click and i wanted it on mouseover. they had href="java_script:; so i thought it was needed. guess not. thanks again!

    What a perfect example of not being able to see the forest through the trees. I was so set on offering the solution using javascript, as requested, that I didn't even think of the obvious, simple solution. I am humbled.
