The amount of information is golden... Its an absolute read for all the newbies out there..
I agree totally with Stymiee in regards to Link Popularity
1 of my links I was actively promoting jumped up to a PR2 & when the ad expired, the following week it dropped down to a PR5 or 6

Awesome Forum...Keep it up guys & gals

"Build your website for human beings, not search engines!"

I like this quote. Sometimes we lose track of this simple fact. Nice one.

This is very true for the people who don't do their homework and "think they have search engines figured out".

I see many small web developers in my area sticking every small rural town and a combination of web design or hosting about 40 times on a page.

it's disgusting to read and look at.

Bluehat SEO is not the same as whitehat or blackhat; it is a name of blogger that preaches his own approach to dark-grey SEO (http://bluehatseo.com)

Dark grey sums the approach up perfectly. I have to say there are some genius ideas on there though, and it's rare for any SEOs that aren't purest white to post techniques as in depth as he does. Great link and a very interesting read.

    I will add some:

    What is the Google Sandbox?

The Google Sandbox is an alleged filter placed on new websites. The result is that a site does not receive good rankings for its most important keywords and keyword phrases. Even with good content, abundant incoming links and strong Google PageRank, a site is still adversely affected by the Sandbox effect. The Sandbox acts as a de facto probation for sites, possibly to discourage spam sites from rising quickly, getting banned, and repeating the process.

How to know whether a site is in sandbox or not:

Doing a search for allinanchor:"keyword" is the best way to tell. My general rule is if you have go through and search page by page looking for your URL and find it then you are not in the sandbox. But if you get tired of looking and your fingers start to hurt and you quit before you find it then you are in the sandbox.

I just need to get ten minutes of time together to do it. It's essentially written, I just have to organize it and post it. Hopefully I get to it shortly.
