    This is a much simpler and quicker task to accomplish with Flash using the "Bitmap Trace" feature. Furthermore, it transforms the image into a vector artwork that can be scaled up if needed, whereas this technique leaves you with a raster image in the end.

    great article XD, especially like the cracked lady one :D, transio, actually in photoshop you can still keep it in vector form if you layer them, and the trace bitmap feature doesn't create a true vector, it's usually still quite pixely.

    codyrockx, conceded the ps tut will create a vector, but it's a lot more work than is necessary, requiring you to trace multiple layers of the dwaring.

    You're wrong about the trace bitmap feature. With a little experience tweaking the color depth and a little work after the trace (fills and edge cleanup, mostly) you can do some pretty cool stuff.
