w00h00! finally a stable release. i've wanted to try 5 this for a while but i'm far too easily frustrated to use beta releases. if something breaks i don't like to question if the engine just may not be able to do that

thanks for filling us all in lieut_data!

Would be nice to figure out how to enable MySQL support in the Compiled Windows version. Keep getting an error that libmysql.dll is not a valid PHP DLL.

Did you copy the libmysql.dll to your system32 folder? This file is located in the root folder of wherever you install php5.

Shouldn't have to according to the documentation just has to be in the directory with the php5apache.dll. Didn't have to copy any files to my System Directory for PHP 4.X.

I try not to add stuff to my Windows Directory.

Oh well... Downloaded WAMP 5.0 and it configures with MySQL access so that will work on my local machine until the documentation catches up.

    Mine wouldn't work until I copied libmysql.dll to %systemroot%.

So far so good, I'm yet to find anything I've developed which isn't working.

Good job guys. Very, very, very long time in coming (no more jokes about Longhorn, k? ), but still very welcome. Can't wait to get to work on getting this on our mainframes later in the fall

My feelings exactly. I am wondering how long it is going to take to get v5 installed on a majority of servers...

I put it in the Apache Directory and it works. No PHP DLL's or Files are in my %windows% or %systemroot% directory. Putting stuff in %systemroot% is just a copout because it is guaranteed to be in your path.
