    Hi

Nice site and a really good idea. The thought that a group could collaborate on a site, provising information to the class on a particular topic.

I was quite a ways into the site before I was sure the topic was the Shakespear play.

Nice front page. Nice menu. Good use of the bgcolor. Recommend a bit of work on the bibliography.

    Modern context is a 404.

    Nice, really nice.

I like the colors and how they fit together. It seems very good and I agree with edshuck. I get a 404 for modern context and the bibliography should be longer than notes and the book. Also, I'm on 1280x1024 and the main page is more than half way down the page.

This site is no longer available, right?

Either that or I'm on something stronger than I thought.. all I see is a search box with "sub-void" all over it.

Even so, it's a strikingly designed search box, now I know you have a good eye for design. You can come work for me anytime

I think you should fix, the index page because there are more of us than you think, with high resolutions. I 'm at 1024x768 and it.

I noticed that the page loaded for marcus brutus, aristotlian, and modern context all have the same content but different file names. If you're using it as filler until the real content is up, that's fine, but if you're not, you fix that.

Also, on the aristolian page, there's a link to modern context that's not on the other pages. If this is a separate page, you maight want to consider putting it in the navigation, since all the other pages are linked to from the top naigation. It just seems like you set up a convention and then break it, which you can do.

it should look okay on 1024 x 768
coz i designed it in that resolution
    i only said few people have 1280 x 1024

i actually wanted comments on the design, just to see how i'm progressing

and its not a commercial site anyway, i'm just doing it for a school project so i didn't really go deeply into usability and other stuff

    thanks anyway.

Since this is an "academic" work, I concur with the other poster that says work on your bibliography. Use the appropriate format. Here's a good site to get you started:
    http://www.columbia.edu/cu/cup/cgos/idx_basic.html

I would also list the Author names of each section in the particular section itself, rather than just in the "info" page.

check the spelling for "Aristotelian", though it looks like you also use "modern context". I would keep it consistent.

    Otherwise it looks very cool.
The site is good, except for those trivialities.

    Now to the actual writing.
There are many small errors. I know you're just a kid but fine writng is like good coding, you have to work on it. For instance, foreign words like importer (do you mean imperator?) should be italicized.

Buy Strunk & White's Elements of Style and use it.

Forget the web coding. Go back and clean up the style of the writing. Have somebody proofread it. Then have someone else proofread it. Revise. Have the revision proofed.
Getting someone else to proofread your stuff is not cheating, it is an essential part of writing. And it will teach you to be a better writer. You're already a fine web designer.

Good luck and sorry if I sound like a nag.

    Hi
    Nice site

The main thing I noticed was that the brutus and Aristotlean | link to the same page. Also the Aristotlean link changes to modern context which also goes to the same page. It makes no sense to have 3 links for one page.

One other point. I know visuals are hard to come by but it would make it easier on the eyes. Maybe you could take the Coliseum pic you use on the 1st page and drop a small band down the left, forming a border/buffer.
