    JS code inserted by host?

    Every page I create and upload to my host.. when I view the source, some extra javascript has been inserted in the head tag, and after the closing html tag..

    In the head:
    Code:
    function SymError()
    {
      return true;
    }
    window.onerror = SymError;
    var SymRealWinOpen = window.open;
    function SymWinOpen(url, name, attributes)
    {
      return (new Object());
    }
    window.open = SymWinOpen;
    After the closing html tag:
    Code:
    var SymRealOnLoad;
    var SymRealOnUnload;
    function SymOnUnload()
    {
      window.open = SymWinOpen;
      if(SymRealOnUnload != null)
    	 SymRealOnUnload();
    }
    function SymOnLoad()
    {
      if(SymRealOnLoad != null)
    	 SymRealOnLoad();
      window.open = SymRealWinOpen;
      SymRealOnUnload = window.onunload;
      window.onunload = SymOnUnload;
    }
    SymRealOnLoad = window.onload;
    window.onload = SymOnLoad;
    Any idea what this is for? I will ring my host tomorrow but just thought someone might know.

    Thanks

    The code is being inserted by Norton Internet Security. If you go into that product's menus, you can disable popup blocking, which I'm sure you don't need anyway, since, certainly, you're not using IE. That will eliminate the code insertion.
