    Please help

I had a post up asking should I have 3 entries in mysql.user table:

    mysql> select host,user,password from user;
    +-----------+--------+------------------+
    | host | user | password |
    +-----------+--------+------------------+
    | localhost | root | 11be6ci654d6e88c |
    | % | root | |
    | localhost | | |
    | % | | |
    | localhost | danny | 1v35e0a780550b2a |
    | localhost | sid | 4fjcd72d7991ca33 |
    +-----------+--------+------------------+

These are the 3 entries that concerned me:

    | % | root | |
    | localhost | | |
    | % | | |

After getting no reply I stupidly went ahead and deleted them as my computer was resently being used by an outside source and I thought was probably their way in to my computer.

After deleteing the above 3 rows from my mysql.user table I couldn't get the mysql command prompt window to open so I went back in to my winXP command prompt and restored them. Problem now is that if I try to get into any of my databases mysql tells me: ERROR 1044: Access denied for user: '@localhost' to database 'mysql'

Please, how do I get back in preferably without having to enter a password every time I want to do some thing with mysql?
I never had to enter a password before.

    Thanks..Jamie
