    hi all, Actually it is newbie question for using Access, as i already study the basic understanding the function of access can do.

    the problem i have not found in book, i have spent alot of time how to figure it out. here i go,
    let say, i have 3 A,B,C respectivily.
    A have one dog
    B have one cat
    C have one dog and one cat.
    i input into field.
    Field 1|Field 2
    A | Dog
    B | Cat
    C | Dog / Cat
    then how u use query to find how many a b c in total in summary like that?
    Dog 2
    Cat 2
    And also, i using lookup wizard, dog and cat but what about dog / cat? how u solve it?

    thanks for your time.

    person, cat(yes/no) dog(yes/no)

    or
    person, no. of cats, no. of dogs.
