I came across this article on CNet today:

    Hotels in Space

    Space: the final vacation

When the day-to-day grind weighs too heavily on your shoulders, a vacation is often the perfect solution. But what if even a luxury cruise doesn't lighten your burden? Well, maybe you need a weightless vacation in space. The Space Island Group is a private company with an ambitious plan to turn the science-fiction dream into a reality. It hopes to bring industry, commerce, and tourism together with the first in a series of privately owned, low-gravity orbiting space stations, beginning as early as 2004. A getaway complete with low-g dancing and sports, radio-controlled space walks for orbital meditation, and a "work the station" package are on the drawing boards. While it may sound like a pie-in-the-sky notion, the company's vision is based on a 25-year-old idea that comes from NASA itself.
So, my question to you, is would you pay money for such a memorable and enlightening experience to go to space? It will be realistic in a few years.

I would definitely do that. You live your life only once... you should experience everything!

If I had the money to burn, I'd definitely do it, like echo said - you only live once!

Oh and by the way, I wouldn't be the first to do it lol, I'd wait and see who lived.

Of course I would pay a lot of money to go to space. Weightlessness must be an amazing feeling.

Just to let you know I wouldn't do "ANYTHING" to go to space lol :P

I feel differently: you life your life only once, and you have don't have ANYWHERE near enough time to experience even a tiny bit of what the Universe has to offer, so you have to be choosy when it comes to your experiences.

That said, assuming I had the money, I would definitely pay to go to space - I wouldn't send myself to bankruptcy for it, but I'd definintely go. I'd probably be utterly terrified, but I would definintely like to go someday.

WHSmith in the UK started selling adventures packages, stuff like driving tanks, tours of cities, skydiving e.t.c. There is a spaceflight package available with a 100,000 price tag on it :O)

Space is easy. I'd like to know what it's like to go into negative space, since that's a place nobody has ever been able to go.

No, for myself isn't it worth to pay a lot of money for that - yes it would also interesting for me to be there - but to pay a lot of money just "only" to say that I was there - really not.

What about life on other planets? Do you think in many, many years, humans will be able to live on other planets? Because the world won't last forever: pollution, potential overpopulation, huge war, etc. could end it. I'm not talking in the immediate future, but way down the line.

I would do it, just because I think weighlessness would be one of the coolest thing ever...

And moving to other planets is the only thing humans will be able to do, if they want to continue expanding their race...

If you people just want to see what it's like not to weigh anything, you could pay a lot more less to go to a special room (they have em..in museums I think..) that simulates no gravity.

It just doesn't interest me. Dunno why, I must be weird. I'd like to see a male/female split on the poll though. (I'm a girl)

I don't know as if I'd really want to spend much time just hanging around on a space station in space, but if they were going to land on the moon or Mars, or even just orbit them closely, I'd love it. As an aspiring travel photographer, cruising the planets and moons would make a great subject.

    P.S. - Superbird, I'm female.

I was just wondering if a greater proportion of blokes than birds would pay money for something like this Nate
