Confusing subject title? Well, here is my dilemma. I would like to link to a particular spot that is located in a new window that contains frames.
This is what I have so far:
On the main page that contains the link:

Code:
<script language="JavaScript"><!--//Start Open Window Code Herefunction openWin(URL) {aWindow=window.open(URL,"help","toolbar=no,width=325,height=300,status=no,scrollbars=yes,resize=no,menubar=no");}//--></script>
and for the links, I have:

Code:
<A HREF="javascript penWin('http://www.anesthesiaforums.com/help.htm#?username');">
Now, the name of the new window with frames is called help.htm. The anchors I would like to link to are located in help_bottom.htm.
This is what I have in between my body tags in "help_bottom.htm"

[code]
onload="self.location='#'+top.location.search.substring(1)"[\code]

But this is not working for some reason. When you click on the link, a new window does pop-up, but it does not link to the anchor I am specifying.

To view the actual site, please visit: http://www.anesthesiaforums.com/forums and click on the register button. When you come to the page with all of the empty fields, try clicking on the small circular question marks.

This turned out to be a long email, but I appreciate all assistance.
Thanks
