    Hello,

    My knowledge of "pHp" right now is quite slim. I am trying to place a background into a guestbook script and just cannot figure it out. This is for the "Advanced Guestbook" located at,
    http://www.proxy2.de

    This is the "header.inc.php" script of the program.
    Code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title><?php echo "$FormSelect"; ?></title>
    <meta name="keywords" content="php, script, mySQL, free, guestbook, advanced">
    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    .font1 {  font-family: <?php echo "$font_face"; ?>; font-size: <?php echo "$tb_font_1"; ?>; color: <?php echo "$text_color"; ?> }
    .font2 {  font-family: <?php echo "$font_face"; ?>; font-size: <?php echo "$tb_font_2"; ?>; color: <?php echo "$text_color"; ?> }
    .font3 { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 7.5pt; color: <?php echo "$text_color"; ?>; font-weight: bold}
    .select {  font-family: <?php echo "$font_face"; ?>; font-size: 9pt}
    .input {  font-family: <?php echo "$font_face"; ?>; font-size: 9pt}
    A:hover {text-decoration: underline; color:red;}
    -->
    </style>
    <base href="<?php echo "$base_url"; ?>">
    </head>
    <body bgcolor="<?php echo "$pbgcolor"; ?>" link="<?php echo "$link_color"; ?>" vlink="<?php echo "$link_color"; ?>">
    Any and all help and input appreciated.

    ok... this is really very simple. It can be done in a number of ways. But without looking at the include/require files this is the only way it can be done:

    Code:
    <?php
    $background = "/image/background.jpg";
    ?>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title><?php echo "$FormSelect"; ?></title>
    <meta name="keywords" content="php, script, mySQL, free, guestbook, advanced">
    <style type="text/css">
    <!--
    .font1 {  font-family: <?php echo "$font_face"; ?>; font-size: <?php echo "$tb_font_1"; ?>; color: <?php echo "$text_color"; ?> }
    .font2 {  font-family: <?php echo "$font_face"; ?>; font-size: <?php echo "$tb_font_2"; ?>; color: <?php echo "$text_color"; ?> }
    .font3 { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 7.5pt; color: <?php echo "$text_color"; ?>; font-weight: bold}
    .select {  font-family: <?php echo "$font_face"; ?>; font-size: 9pt}
    .input {  font-family: <?php echo "$font_face"; ?>; font-size: 9pt}
    A:hover {text-decoration: underline; color:red;}
    -->
    </style>
    <base href="<?php echo "$base_url"; ?>">
    </head>
    <body bgcolor="<?php echo "$pbgcolor"; ?>" link="<?php echo "$link_color"; ?>" vlink="<?php echo "$link_color"; ?>" background="<?php echo "$background"; ?>">

    Hi,

    Thanks for responding.

    Should the
    Code:
    <?php
    $background = "/image/background.jpg";
    ?>
    be above the <HTML> Tag???
