As an example, in FrontPage, the preview uses Internet Explorer right inside the FrontPage program. The particular program I'll be working with is the Active Worlds 3D browser. It uses Internet Explorer (if a user has it) right inside the main AW browser to display web pages.

What I'm looking to do is have PHP detect (or some other method that can tell PHP) if a visitor is looking at the page inside the Active Worlds browser, or if they are viewing the page in the stand alone version of Internet Explorer, or whatever other browser.

Thanks for the help, even before it gets here.

try to do echo $HTTP_USER_AGENT .. and see if they have the standard IE user agent of if that other program changes something in it (you can never be sure)

Nopers. I just tried that, and I get the same output whether I run the page in stand alone, or in the Active Worlds browser.
