    (Music) Yellowcard

I am in love with this band. They are absolutely amazing. I have seen them live twice now and own all their albums.
They play punk style music and have a violinist. If you want to check them out then

Meh, they are ok, 5/10. Just another pop punk clone, without the really catchy songs.

I know I am getting old because the word "sick" seems in no way appropriate for good music.

"Bad" kind of made sense, it kind of suggested something that broke the rules. But "sick"? I don't get it. Can someone under 25 please explain this to gramps?

    BUT WHY?

For example, I've always thought of "phat" as something that (like fat) looms large in whatever arena it occupies.

I can't think of any way to complete the metaphor with sick. Is it saying that something is so good that it infects things around it, maybe like a song that infects you with it's toxic groove? That's the best I can come up with and it doesn't sound right at all.

Also, apple jacks, why don't they taste like apples?

    What ever happened to groovy?
I think apple jacks are groovy.

If Jimi Hendrix were alive I bet he'd eat fruit loops.
Yeah, that'd be groovy, can you dig it?

Yellowcard is definitely one of my favorite bands. They formed before Good Charlotte, though I suppose they could be seen as a "tryhard." Personally, the violin adds an entirely new dimension to their sound that no other pop-punk/hard-emo band currently has.

Arg, dont even talk about Good Charlotte, yuck. If you like interesting instruments cheack out the Dropkick Murphy's or Warsaw Pack.

Yellowcard is awesome. They are from my city, Jacksonville FL.... a bunch of fans here. They're in California now, but they just had a sold-out concert here and it was very awesome.
