I have just installed MySQL 4.0 on a Windows XP Professional box running IIS 5.1. I noticed that under the MySQL>show databases; command that I only have a 'test' database present and accounted for.
Has anyone ever come across this issue before?

That's correct.
Then you create your tables within that database
