I will start replying by saying custom.

I will answer then next question with custom.

Guess what custom is my next answer.

Have a look at kevin tutorial here on sitepoint about building php/mysql driven website.

Our content management system looks a little like the flight control panel on the space shuttle. It's not a single script that you would find at your corner store. As mad-onion pointed out it's custom written for our purposes. It's constantly evolving - a never ending process of improvements. I wish I could show you (I would if you were standing behind me) but I can't online unfortunately.

Well that probably makes it one of the more organised CMS in use on sites like SitePoint

Maybe a screen-shot of it? That'd be pretty cool

    Hi,

This was already discuessed a while back at http://www.sitepointforums.com/showt...threadid=14230 and Sitepoint decided it was a too big security risk to reveal screenshots of their CMS. I dont really understand how as they can blank bits out but I suppose all sites especially one as big as this have to be very security concious.

Some parts look sooo slick and other parts are really messy and plastered with red messages like "If this doesn't work, blame Kev!"

    It'd just be too embarassing!

I don't see how screenshots (especially censored ones) could be a security risk, but I guess that its their decision and their right.
