i just wanted to know how many ways are there to hide an unwanted url from a DOMAIN. I mean instead of http://www.areacool.mail.everyone.net , it should be http://www.mail.areacool.com . Does it works with Forwarding. How to set up a forwarding url from registerfly ! . I think i can creat frames or something like that. These things are not clear in my mind, could someone be kind to help me here!

www.mydomain.com (yes that's the real address!) has services like email and website forwarding that they offer for free, no matter who your register is. You simply sign up for an account with them and then make changes via your own control panel.

MyDomain has a pretty good help system. Did you read through those pages?

A cloaked domain keeps your desired URL in the location bar by using frame forwarding. Basically there is an invisible frame with the target page loaded inside. No matter what page you are on, it will still show www.yourdomain.com in the location bar. Keep in mind that this also applies when external links are clicked. Make sure to use the Target="top" attribute in links that go outside of your site.

Uncloaked just sends people using www.yourdomain.com to the target page. The actual URL shows in the location bar.

It sounds like for your situation you would probably want to use cloaked. Hope this helps :-)

Why not just add the everyone.net login form on one of your pages? Your users never need to see the http://www.areacool.mail.everyone.net address.

    Example: http://www.waytoopersonal.com/mail/
    Cheese-N-Rice - A daily comic strip.

Cloacked domains aren't very user friendly. If you're site has a lot of pages that users may want to bookmark (or copy the URL into an E-Mail etc) using a cloaked domain will stop them from doing this as they won't be able to copy the URL from the address bar - very annoying.

Actually, I am pretty sure you can change the URL of your free e-mail service within the Everyone.net member center...
