Update flag?

Hi all,

i don't know if this question it's out of topic, then sorry if it is...
I am coding a pure asp application and i need to now when a register of my access bd is modifed. How can implement this? i mean, when someone modifies or add a new register i want (i.e) that this register appears at the top of the grid. add a field flag? add a date field? how is the best way to implemented?
