I really have no idea what I'm doing (which is the main problem)

Anyway, I am trying to create a page that will insert records into my Database.

I keep getting this error.

Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/graph/public_html/nela/insert.php on line 45

Here is line 45:

$Result1 = mysql_query($insertSQL, $graph_nelabuild) or die(mysql_error());

Any suggestions?

I really don't know what I'm doing.

Haven't used php/mysql in a while but doesn't supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource mean it hasn't actually connected to the database properly?
