I am building a database to store news posts, and I need it to store more than 255 characters. I used "blob" as the character type in the column for the actual post, but it doesn't return what I put into it, it comes back as gibberish. Here is the page.. http://www.jaggedknife.com/new/ccktitle.asp How would I store the information (I'd like to keep it in the table instead of separate file, as it is just text)? I there another character type that I should use?

    TINYTEXT, SHORTTEXT, TEXT, MEDIUMTEXT, LONGTEXT

See "BLOB and TEXT Types" in the MySQL manual.
