    I know of Protect.PL

Powerfull password script with good security. It protects as many .html files you like. Ability to use subdirectories and restrict access to different directories in the password file, mix protected and normal links.

    Hope that helps.

Our own Kevin Yank has produced a new article on PHP/MySQL authentication which would be extremely useful in your case. Check it out at http://www.webmasterbase.com/article.php/319

I believe he said he couldn't use PHP. It can be done with ASP, also, if you have access to that language. I already belted out some code for it, if you care to take a look:

Hope this was of some assistance.

Lemme guess -- you're on a free host? 'Cause if you're not, your host... um... how do I put this nicely? Well, I think you get the idea.

Sounds to me like you need a real host then. Best bet would be to look around in www.hostsearch.com Even some free hosts give you stuff that you need.

There are also some VERY good hosts for under $10 a month. You should have a look at the discusions going on in our own Hosting Forum.
