    Question DocBook ?

I need to write some old documents, dated in 17xx-18xx, to be published on a website.
I was going to write them in xml format.
Do you think DocBook is the way to go ?
Can you suggest a free app to me that can build DocBook documents ?

    Suggestions, thoughts ?

    Butterfly

I'm using butterfly xml to do my doc book parsing. (http://www.butterflyxml.org) Their web site says that the next version will have better doc book support..I can't wait. I haven't found anything that can render doc book for you as you go. I'd imagine thats what they have cooking since butterfly parses as you go

I used to use Morphon which was not bad and even did WYSIWYG. Seems to have stopped being developed however. http://www.morphon.com/xmleditor/index.shtml

I'm going to have a look at Butterfly. Looks good.

Last I used DocBook, it was a pain to get set up (it required like five different programs/libraries/etc., all from various places) and somewhat obtuse figuring out how to use it. But once all that was set up, authoring docs with DocBook is great. I haven't messed with DSSSL (stylesheets) - really cryptic.
