I know how to do regular mouseovers, but how do you do animated mouseovers: i.e. the animated is displayed when the mouse is over the button, but reverts to its original non-animated gif/jpg once the mouse moves off the button?

You insert an animated GIF when you create the mouseovers.
In other words it's precisely the same as doing a normal mouseover (two normal buttons), but you substitute the 'mouseovered' button with an animated GIF (which is previously created by yourself or from somewhere else).
Simple ain't it?Great effect though, that's for sure.

One day I will read this thread and feel foolish...but for now I simply feel grateful) Thanks...will try it out.

We all get that feeling sometime (and more often than we'd like, that's for sure!)![]()
Just a quick note, although now days most editors automically preload rollover you should definatly tell the page to preload the animation onload so when the user mouses over them they dont have to wait for them to load.
