Personally, I'm convinced that extra attention given to an architecture pays of in the long run. That doesn't mean that I will profit from it, but someone will profit from it. It could be my client, their employees or maybe their clients. I'm proud of delivering quality; or at least, trying the best I can.
I don't like to work for clients who are not willing to pay a little extra for quality.
