Question ASP / .NET based Forums/community portals

I am trying to build a community forum and was wondering if anyone has information on community forums / portals that are either asp or .net based. I have heard alot about php based ones, but I was wondering if there are asp or .net (aspx) based ones. I am not looking for free ones, just looking for ones that are the best or most popular.

So far the ones i've seen are:

    aspinvision.com
    instantasp.co.uk
    oppnuke.com
    aspplayground.net
    webwizguide.com
    dotnetnuke.com

Are there better ones than these? I am looking for something that is priced between $300 - $700.

    Thanks

There's also Snitz and the ASP.NET forum software, both of which are free, I believe.

From what I've seen, the ASP.NET forum has a significantly better interface, and seems faster, especially since Snitz used ASP.old.

    Thanks

That's a very cool site you got. I like the features you've on the site, especially the ability for individuals to put their journals, gallery, etc.
Was it hard to customize the original forum into what you have now?

There's one called VieBoard. And of course, the software that is distributed at asp.net. Apart from that, there aren't many decent ASP boards.

I guess that depends on your skill level, tools. I found it difficult to learn/modify with Dreamweaver.. but once I aquired Visual Studio... it made it much easier. It was a great "code base" to start with and build upon when wanting to use asp.net platform. Actually, the non-source free download was feature-rich... which, if adequate for the application, is very simple to modify on the .aspx/presentation level.

If you want to see it in use, "out of the box" and most unmodified, check out Azian.com or SoCalEuro .
