A few times a day, I see netscape 3.0 through humanclick.
And a few times a day, I also see explorer 4.0. Once in a while, I see webTV.
Common browers on my site are netscape 4.5 and IE 5.0

Most people are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0.
MSIE is the most common browser...
There's MSIE 5.0, then MSIE 5.5, then MSIE 4.
Netscape Navigator 4.7 seems to be most popular version of Netscape software. Talking about netscape, a lot of people still use NN 3.0, 4.0, 4.5 and 4.6.
I had some people that used MSIE 2.0
and only few ones using Netscape 1.2 and Netscape 2.0
There's no need to design site for very old browsers. It can damage your current design, and there's less then 1% people using such old browsers.REBOOM.COM - visit new webmaster resources.

I reguarly see someone with a NS 3.0 or IE 3.0 browser on my site.
I've used NS 3.0 for a long time, till about two years ago. On the same PC was also IE 4.0 installed, but I preferred to use NS for many reasons.www.nyanko.ws - My web-, software- and game development company.

LOL
So there are still users of 2.0 browsers.
Darnm

Any idea why they refuse to upgrade?
1.They are on dial-up access. They do not want to wait for hours to download And they do not want to spend a cent ordering a CD for NS or IE.
2.They refuse to accept new programs. They feel that their old browers are good enough for them and perhaps it is true.
3.They do not care.

4. They don't know any better. You have no Idea how many people out there have basically no knowleged about computer use whatsoever and just use the computer as they bought it for 4-5 years without a single software update or new software addition! It's sad but true...
I met one guy who was still using the cheap browser that came with Win95 (Possibly IE 3.0, or even worse!)

At our school we've one huge network of slow (P166) and faster (P333) PC's with on all of them Win NT (SP 5) and about 1/3 of them has still IE 4.0 on them, the rest has IE 5.0 installed. This will change soon, though, when the new images are being installed (quite necessary, a lot of programs crashed
).
Off topic: Can you guys guess who always disables MSN (which is always being installed by those PC newbies)?www.nyanko.ws - My web-, software- and game development company.
