MP3 in Flash: Playback speed in projector?

    Hi all,

Something kind of weird happening there, and thought I'd see if anyone else has come across this problem, and will hopefully have a potential solution.

Here's the deal: 30 second MP3 with 30 seconds of keyfamed animation. In the preview playback, it all syncs up fine. However, making a projector (Mac so far, haven't tried this on Windows yet) the music ends about 4-5 seconds before the animation. Running this on Flash 5, OS 9. The first thing was to obviously crank up the mac projector's memory allocation, but that didn't seem to make any difference.

The animation is not complicated, in fact right now it's just the first level of some text objects with some slight transparency effects.

Any thoughts of what might be going on here?

    Thanks a ton,
    Dwayne

The only way to guarantee that animation will synch up with an audio track is to place it on the timeline and set it to "Stream." This is different than using loadSound() to load an mp3 and then set the "isStreaming" argument to true.

So, if you are dynamically loading the mp3, I don't think there's a way to synch it up perfectly. If you imported it and placed it on the timeline, make sure it is set to stream and you shouldn't have any problems. On a slower machine, you may se some dropped frames, but the audio should still stay synched up.
