    hey again.
    right, well, i've looked into installing the gd library on my pc, and i haven't found ANY decent instructions, and it seems really complicated.

    However, I downloaded what is meant to be a simpler solution :

    The instructions were:
    "..
    Unzip the file php_gd_gif.dll and rename to php_gd.dll. Copy to your extensions directory, update your PHP.ini file to extension=php_gd.dll.
    .."

    (I am running php 4.0.1pl2 and sambar server)

    So, I placed it in the right folder, renamed it, and added the following to php.ini:
    [php_gd]
    extension=php_gd.dll

    However, I get the following error when I restart my server:
    "Unable to load dynamic library './php_gd.dll'. One of the libraries needed to run this application cannot be found".

    ANyone know what is wrong? I really need to get this working really soon.
    Thanks alot for your help.

    AJ so you didn't follow the link I gave you to ImageMagick.

    Believe me get ImageMagick and install it on your machine. Trust me its way better than GD.
    Please don't PM me with questions.
    Use the forums, that is what they are here for.

    make sure that library is in the same directory as php.exe, then it shouldn't have any problem loading it. Renaming is an optional thing, just reflect it in the extension name in the php.ini file.
