    Query

Hi, i know that using HTML tags in a txt file, makes the information displayed in the appropriate format in a dynamic textbox in Flash by choosing Render as HTML.

Does the same hold true for displaying content from a xml file ? Is there any other way of reading html tas in xml file ?

I think you have to use CSS to format the XML. HTML tags would confuse the XML parser and just included in the data tree.

See this tutorial for using CSS in Flash: http://www.actionscript.org/tutorial...sh/index.shtml

And this one about formating XML data using CSS: http://www.actionscript.org/tutorial...nt/index.shtml

You could also avoid CSS by just using different text styles directly in flash depending on what the XML tag is...

You can use CDATA tags in xml to allow for html markup in your text nodes.

JRMillion how come you deleted your post?

It could have been beneficial for others who might have thought the same thing.

Yes you can, however I dont think Flash supports that directly.
Good question, but flash can handle CDATA tags just fine.
