Hi guys can any one advise me.
1 IP address ( proxy server address) 300 workstations logging on to the www. For the purpose of cpc adverts would those 300 users be treated as one ip address or would each click be treated as unique.

Probably one IP address in that if your using a NAT which translates the single IP to that of any machine from behind it.

It depends how the advertising software counts unique clicks, but usually it would be seen as one user.

Ah... bugger that's stopped my devious plan to set the home page through domain policies.lol....
Cheers Kili
lol, unless you can find a way to work from machine names perhaps as opposed to wan ip.

Hm.... difficult as the proxy is out of my control ,our LAN is part of a 5000 workstation WAN. Oh well, boy that would have racked up the google stats lol..
Now how can I get at that proxy ......
Kili
lol ! talk about mondo-clickage lol
I think they all count as a single IP...

hrm, are you running like a web-ad clicking sweat shop?
and while you at it.. tell IT to stop being cheap and get some more IPs
LOL, Yeah surely they dont cost you that much![]()

If only I could where part of a 5000 workstation WANOriginally Posted by colinr
