    Hi,

I was wondering if there's any way for PHP (or any other scripting language for that matter) to access the content and most importantly the text of a PDF document. The reason for doing this would be to be able to search the content of the PDF files directly instead of making a database with keywords of the content, title, and so on.

    Thanks in advance !
    Sincerely,

    Check out PHP's pdflib

http://www.php.net/pdf I know you can open pdfs with PHP and I am pretty sure you can read the contents, so that should be all you need have a look at the php docs for the specifics, and ask again if that fails

Use the forums, that is what they are here for.
