I am part of a local LAN wit 2 ip classes 1 non routable and 1 routable
problem is that ppl within the 2 groups have trouble accessing each other for instance ppl with the routable ip's can't access the workgroupe etc , is there a solution to this problem withour overloading the router with surpluss traffic ?

what classes are we working with ? class A, B, C?
i.e. is the lan 192.168.0.X or 192.168.X.X
or 10.10.1.X, etc likewise...
If they are all in the same sub-net (ala 10.10.1.X) then it should work, but if , for instance, one network is 10.10.1.X and another is 10.10.2.X then you will have to bridge them somehow
fist class is 192.168.xxx.xxx
seccond is 217.156.xxx.xxx
from a hardware point of a view they are on the same network lets say 2 out of 8 ppl from a swich have rouatable ip's the rest don't we talking about 45 ppl here , on a 100mbs
routing the lan's traffic trugh a serve whoud be extremely pain full , more over since the our gateway/router is connected via only a 10mbs connection to the lan , i don't want to end up eating up all the local bandwith with network traffic like file transfers and other stuff ...
ps: under windows 2000 pro i added 2 ip's from the advanced options of tcp/ip but still can't see the workgroup .
