I feel that my site needs a complete makeover/design soon and therefore is thinking of getting someone/a web design company to do the entire design for me.

Can anyone recommend some of the best web design companies or some web designer that you know so that I could have a look at their portfolio?

Some of the web designs of the web that I like include http://www.fool.co.uk/ , http://www.searchengines.com/, http://www.mycomputer.com/ and http://www.sitepoint.com/ of course.

    Thanks everyone!

Caesar most people here are web designers.

And your site looks good, I don't know why you'd want to redo it.

    I'm assuming you mean: http://www.pdasquare.com/

SOme servers are set up so that you DON'T need the WWW in front of the domain name. Therefore, I think it depends on where the site is hosted!

I think somehow Nicky's posts got switched! That one belongs in beginner's corner, and she posted a reply to this thread in beginner's corner..strange.

Caesar, if you'd like, you can post in the Trading Post and offer something worthwhile (no cash!) to our members and you might get several great designs!

    Good luck

It's probably one of the many side-effects of the recent switch to vB 2.0 B1.

Seems like Wayne has some more work to do

    Hey,
    Not forgetting me!
    Heez. =)

    If your site is http://www.pdasquare.com/
In my opinion, it has alot of room for improvement.
The current design is excellent. The bevels, colours etc.

Right now, the main problem too much text on a page. Its scrolling too much.

TIP: be striaght to the point
If you have news to post, make the text of the entire post in a separate page, and link to it via the title

Another think I would do is on the left navigation, i would add some padding to the sides of both corners..

Now, I won't turn this into a review post, but if you really want to improve your site, head on to the website review forum.
Its definitely better to retain this design, improve on it, then get a whole new design.

The designs that you have shown us to attract your interest is very common and easy to do. Surely you don't pay web designers to do something like that?
