    diacono,

I agree with you. I used that feature all the time.

Another thing: For the bars at the bottom that are used for flipping through posts, etc. (record pages), they look....ugly.

There are other features that I love about the new SPF look. The buddy list is cool, and so is private messaging. However, I think the warning system may fail (Just a prediction; we'll see ). Also, avatar's are just...awesome. They're even better once you know how to use them.

Another thing, masterful job on the reorganizing of the profile. It's very easy to use.

Overall, i'd say the good outweighs the bad, although the e-mail 'snippet' would be great to have back.

Hope Wayne reads this one. For once I'm not complaining!

oh, trust me, he will. I have the utmost confidence in Wayne. hehe...i'd like to spend a day in his shoes. Of course, i wouldn't have the skills.

By the way, if Wayne's reading this, tell him to pull some strings so i can become a chat op. .

Honestly, though, kudos to Wayne for just developing SitePoint. It's a lifesaver!

James(US) is actually the one who is in charge of choosing chat ops, so maybe you should talk to him.

Actually, Wayne didn't develop SitePoint Matt Mciwchwhatever (however you spell it) actually founded SitePoint, and there are now a handful of people who develop it. You CAN give Wayne credit for developing the SitePoint Forums.

    Justin,

I stand corrected. I merely checked wayne's name for the forums. Matt did a great job too, though.

I have talked to JameUS before and am on the 'list' for Chat Ops, or whatever. From what i understand, it's not easy to do, etc. I was just hoping anyone could push it along. I'm not a very patient person, although I am a happy one, albeit.

Matt, Mark and Jason are the major players behind SitePoint.

Eric and I have been given a lot of leeway in running the forums and building them up however we still answer to the top.

With that said, I don't think I can or anyone directly involved with SitePoint can take all the credit. We only provide what we see as fulfilling your needs. The members of the Forums, Newsletters and all our visitors are truly the ones who drive SitePoint and steer it into the future. For that I thank each and everyone of you for allowing me to serve you as best I can and I hope to do this for a long time...

Now.. I will get to work on that "snippet".

Said with such poise and elegance. A writer in our midst? or perhaps a PR person?

lol...thanks for the response, Wayne! Congrats to EVERYONE for making SitePoint the best site I've seen for this sort of thing.

Just dont' forget the little people that keep you going (a.k.a 'we the posters').

lol Goober At the moment there are rather a lot of chat ops (nearly all Advisors though) but you are on my list for possible future Ops, as I said last time you asked me

I'll get back to you again in a day or two.

Hang around these forums long enough and you'll start sounding like some sort of Sales Rep too. You'll be able to write Mission Statements on the fly.

Hmmm, speaking of Eric, is he still alive? Haven't seen him in any discussion lately.
