I was wondering if there was some sort of e-mail function for php or MySQL. I've seen those pages with "e-mail this article" and you can click on it and simply type in the e-mail address of the person you want to send it to and that's it.

Does anyone know how to do this and shed any light on this situation?

    Thanks!

There is an email function for PHP it is
    mail("to", "subject", "body")
with an optional fourth param for mail headers such as From: someguy@somedomain.com\r\nReply-to: someguy@somedomain.com\r\n"

    mail("to", "subject", "body")

The eaiest way to do the email a friend thing is make a link to a php script that passes the current page, then have a form on the PHP page that uses a hidden input to hold the page and the form takes the friend's emai laddress then it composes the email and sends it. Start there, and ask if you have further questions.
Please don't PM me with questions.
Use the forums, that is what they are here for.

Or you could simply use some PHP classes that people created like HTML Mime Class or some other ones @ hotscripts.com

Though doing a mail() doesn't harm!
