dont butt graphics/pic up to the left of the page, leave a small gap. Grey 'swoop' at the top/bottom is a little pixellated.
Scroll bar could do with a little more detail (in the css, such a shading) - other than that its a good look.

Oh I see...what would you suggest instead? A different shade of red?

I was thinking of either taking the stroke off and seeing what it looks like or maybe changing it to a 2px outer glow...

wow, sorry mate, I think it is FAR too busy have a look at some of FI's work, they may provide a bit of inspiration http://www.fantasy-interactive.com/ I reckon the menu should have much simpler font and there are too many adverts... Sorry just my humble opinion

Provide some space or center out the ads on your sidebar. And like someone already mentioned the header and footer curves need anti-aliasing.

I didn't find the page to be very scannable. Too many icons that are the same (Top 5).

The page title "Apex Web Gaming | Leading The Way To Great Online Gaming" doesn't start with your most important keywords which is what the search engines place the most importance on (titles and keywords).

The load time is incredible. It was a good 30 sec. and Im running on cable. 1280x1024 mozilla other than that the site looks good, not a big fan of the "dark" colors. Other than that just get the load time down.

really? it loads really fast on my computer (with cable), and on several of my friends computers i have tested it and it loads just as fast. do you have any suggestions on lowering load time other than taking away images?

What else would I put as a page title? And what do you mean by scannable?

Make the title of the page something like Web Gaming - Apex because when someone searches on google they would most likly search for web gaming instead of Apex. As for the load time slice the images up. That whole red and white image is huge. I would slice them up with image ready or some program like that.

look at the image title awg_01.gif its a very big and large file size and so is the image at the bottom. The one that says to login thoes 2 images are big and take a long time to load. If you were to slice them down into 3 or 4 smaller images then they would load faster.

Ok heres some adives from my bro.
The CSS should be a external file sheet not inline. This will help with load time.
Also the awg2_11.gif is way too big, you could make that image 1 pix high and just have it set to repeat.
Awg_02.gif is just a big black box. Whats the point. Its deff. not needed as you can do it in html.

This image: as well as the other similar images really stand out when visually scanning the page. But (and here's the not so scannable part) when I scan your page, looking for a topic that interests me, I "see" things that say "TOP 5" and "TOP 15". TOP what? You see the "last week's" and "this week's" doesn't standout enough so I am left with "seeing" the word TOP. Look at it this way:

    • Games for girls
    • Games for boys
    • Games for kids
    • Games for men
    • Games for women
    • Games for grandma

This list is not very "scannable" because all the topics start with the same word. Now this next example will demistrate how to turn this same list in a more scanable list:
    • Girls fun and games
    • Boys action games
    • Kids educational games
    • Mens sports games
    • Womens adventure games
    • Grandmas mind games
OK, so it's a lame example, but I hope it shows the point. In you case simply you might try making the "This Week" and "Last Week" stand out a bit more and consider adding the word "Games" in there, like:

    • This Weeks Top 5 Games
    • Games that Hit the Top 15
    • Todays Gaming Top 5 Picks
    • 5 Top Games of the Month
Sorry so long winded. One last thing before I go, the word weeks should not be spelled "week's". If you spell it that way you are saying "this week is Top 5"
