Hi all, this is my new site so let me have it. It's quite new so any and all suggestions would be much appreciated. Let me know exactly what you think and don't hold back. Also, if you could let me know what the best way to get word out about sites I would appreciate that as well. I'm having a hard time. Thanks. http://www.onlinescavenger.com

    Hi jollymon,

Welcome, hope you find the information useful.

The site is a bit plain.

Curious as to the choice of frames for the design.

Text is clear and easy to read.

Recommend slowing the marquee just a bit.

The survivor page has some problems unique to that page.

There is a large black area at the right and the site is pushed to the left.

The white menu frame is in stark contrast to the black bg of the main frame.

Usually I run through several items of difficulty in the code. In this page, that is not the problem. There is just the vspace and hspace error in iframe but that is, I believe, normal in Front Page.

I did like the mouseover in the menu and I really think the page would have a different feel if tables and div (for centering) were used.

Do one of those little "eMail this site to a friend.
    to help get more visits
    peace

    Hmm..You use Frontpage...
I think you should set it to place code supported by IE and NS too.

For example, the marquee tag isn't supported by netscape.
The site's plain, but unique to forntpage themes ( the buttons..could recognise it )

So if you want uniqueness in your design, stay away from frontpage themes.

The main page text is very large, though it isn't really perfect, it has good visibility.

Onb browsing to other pages, it is wise to maintain a constant site design theme.

Other than that, nice plain design. But thre's alot of room for improvement if you want to.

    Notes:
    > Site is too plain on all pages, except the 'Survivor Hunt' page.

    > Using SSI instead of frames is more than just recommended: it will be critical if you want to make this a successful site.

    > Make the menu a bit more exciting (using images, colored tables or a combination)

    > It is too obvious that you've used standard (FrontPage) templates. The average webdesigner can 'smell' it and so does the average customer.

    > Take a look at other sites who have about the same content. You might learn from them.

I won't repeat what everyone else has said, as I agree with it. I'll just add one quick thing: change the link color for the webrings on the Survivor 2 hunt page. They're just a greenish blur in the white. You could instead change the background color of the cells the links are in.

This all depends. If your a beginner then I'd say it looks real good. I'm not to wild about the mouse-overs. I dunno, it doesn't look right. I might center the scroller and maybe set the width = 450. Otherwise good idea for a site!

If I were you, on the left frame I'd make it un-resizeable, and get rid of the bar in the middle. <frame name="contents" target="main" src="Navigation.htm" noresize border=0>
    That should fix ya up
