Cron Job with MySQL...

I need instructions on how to create a CRON job that will do the following every week/sunday...

Part1. run a SQL command to spool results to a unique filename

Part2. run a SQL command to update a TARGET table

The updatewill be based on a Select statement of the SOURCE table and the results will be grouped by a running counter...

Plus the SOURCE table will have an update to reset a column value after the update is down...

result table:
Counter, result1
Counter, result2

That's a Perl question ( or whatever you prefer to run your cron jobs in). Just write a script that connects to the database and runs those sql commands. If you provided the actual sql statements to be run, I'm sure someone can write one for you pretty easily.
