What is S-root in tmp directory?

I got a couple of DIRs in my /tmp directory that is a concern.

    /tmp/screens/S-root

Is this a cpanel thing? Or is someone trying to get in?

There are no files inside the directory...it's just directories.

    Thanks.

    Thanks. That's a relief.

I did try googling S-root before this and after your post tried linux s-root, but didn't find (or understand) the answer. Related to SCSI drives or something?

I mean if your really worried, try running last from the terminal and see if you see any funky IP's logging in.
