I always thought that when you compiled PHP it automatically created the CGI Binary for you to use form the command line, I just compiled PHP4.0.4 today on Redhat 7.0 and I cannot for the life of me find the binary did I need to specify something in the configure line or what?

I am pretty sure it goes where you untarred the package. As that is the compilation path, correct?

Can I compile another version from the original source and just leave out the apache part to create a binary?
