    Detecting Flash

This has probably been answered before but I have yet to find a flawless solution to it.

I want to detect Flash in a user's browser. I have several Flash sections to the website. The preferred logo state is Flash but if Flash is not available, then an image is shown. I also have several "advanced" Flash elements that can only be run if Flash 7 is installed. Can anyone help me sort the correct JavaScript for this? It is quite urgent as the client is keen to make the site as interactive as possible.

    Cheers!

Or if you just want to show the image if the Flash plug-in is not there at all, you can do it with plain old HTML with this .
