PHP Nuke

Hello All,
I have just downloaded php nuke and would like to install it on a Win2k server. I have setup the sql database as nuke, but Im lost on how to add the tables. php nuke come with a file called nuke.sql. This file contains all the tables within it. Its appears to be a SQL dump file. Is there anyway to import this table file to Mysql. I think the file was intended for Linux only. I would hate to add each table one at a time. I'm really new to Mysql and php nuke. Thanks

You can feed the .sql file into your MySQL database, but first you need to create the database to store the tables.

Using the 'mysql' program from the Command Line, log into your MySQL server and enter the following command:

mysql> CREATE DATABASE phpnuke;

You're free to choose another name for the database if you wish. Exit MySQL to return to the Command Line. Now you can feed the nuke.sql file into your newly-created database by entering the following command:

mysql -uuser -ppassword phpnuke < nuke.sql

This command assumes that the MySQL 'bin' directory is on your path (if it isn't you'll have to type the full path to the 'mysql' program), and that nuke.sql can be found in the current directory. 'user' and 'password' should be your MySQL username and password.

That should do it!

Import a dump file to your database is simple and easy (in Windows too ...
Just open an command prompt window and go to your mysql\bin folder:

e.g., cd c:\mysql\bin

then type

mysql db << sqlfile

where db is the database where you want the dump data and sqlfile is the file where do you have the dump data.

As an example,

mysql nuke << c:\nuke\nuke.sql

where the database is named "nuke" and the file where you have the dump is in "c:\nuke\nuke.sql"... just change the path to file to match your requirements...

I would use PHPMyAdmin to do it. It is very easy with it.

I have it working great now. You guys are amazing how well you help me. Hey I have one more questions on SQL. Im currently using root with a password for nuke to access my database, How do I add another login account account with a new password?
