Site mock - Critique appreciated :)

Thinking of giving my portfolio site a revamp. Here's the initial draft:

yeah it works just copy the link to a browser window. geocities wont let you direct link to images.

I think either the guy or the pencils need to be changed. The problem with the guy is his left leg (the one farthest to the right) has no shadow and the green background does. The pencils could fit in if there was a bit more color.

Looks fine, just try to reduce the tone of the green in the content area it is too strong and tires the vision of the readers.

The site looks nice. I agree with James about the green background. This is your portfolio site right? While you want to make it quaily you don't want the site to detract from your other works in your portfolio. Your design is solid but dulling down the green or changing the color may help.

Dont take this the wrong way, because I am not sure...
But that design looks very familiar. Did you take an image or idea from somewhere?

I like the green. Its bright but there's something vibrant and pleasing about it IMO.
    Slick!

nah it's ok. images are stock photography so u might have seen them b4. anyway thanks for the constructive comments. but i have scrapped this mock for another with a earth tone color theme.

i kinda like lime green. felt it goes pretty well with white but i guess thats an overkill
