Hi I am having problems with a particular table in my mySQL database, i cannot open it, and also I cannot 'drop' it. Is it possible that it has 'crashed' ?

all other tables in my database work fine.

I have also tried to drop the table through telnet.. with no avail.

    any solutions are welcome.
    Thanx

    Ardi

The documentation at mysql.com comes up with this for crashed tables:

    Hope this helps

Thanks Elledan, although I think that that solution is way over my head.

Also i'm not a support customer of mySQL.

    Ardi,

What error messages is your database giving you when you try to perform the tasks you mention above?

First of all i was getting the Error 1040: too many connections...

Then the admin increased the mySQL connection limit, and it was okay.. until the database started to 'hang' whenever i tried to connect to it..

I wasn't getting any errors, it just would hang forever whenver i would try to 'use' my database in mySQL.

But what I did was get the admin to delete the database and make a new one.. good thing i have the mySQL dump backed up

It should be okay now, thanks anyway

No problem, Ardi! It's really great to hear that you were keeping a proper backup of the database. Everyone pay attention!
