    Absolute Links

I have a host who uses a Linux server and I am trying to set up absolute links, but I am getting confused. I am using MovableType to set up a blog in my cgi-bin. I have to have a link to my static directory outside the cgi-bin, but I cant seem to get the right link to make it from the cgi-bin to the other directory.

    Here is the layout:

/var/www/cgi-bin/perfection (the MT files are located in this folder of my cgi-bin)
/var/www/html/blog (the static MT files outside of my cgi-bin, but in a folder of my main site directory)

    ./ is up one
    ../ is up two directories
but how do i get back three directories, back to www so I can get to html/blog?

    Any ideas?

    Not exactly

    ./ is the current directory
../ refers to the parent directory
    ../.. is two up
