I am currently experencing PHP session loss when transferring customers from our website (HTTP to the checkout process (HTTPS.

I have tried numerous ways of resolving this issue.

I am on a UNIX system, Shared Server.

Could this be the issue?

Please let me know your thoughts, as I need the the PHP session variables carried over from the site to the checkout process inorder to store/display/accept orders correctly.
