IE Statusbar and Javascript

First: Sorry for my bad English, I´m a German, so be kind with me

My Problem:
When you move your Mouse over a Link, it allways show it (the Link) in the IE Statusbar!! So, I will use this HTML TAG to change the Text in Statusbar:

<a href="#" onmouseover="window.status='myText'; return true;">klick</a>

But, there´s a little Problem:
I have to change over 200 Links, is there any way, that I can globalize it, like a global Funktion?? I only want, that visitors can´t see the Link!

Please help.

Nice reference. I think that in some cases it could be useful specially with secured links. Hope you can understad.
