XP boot help.

Ok, so i just bought a new hard drive, installed xp on it, and its all working all good right. But i still have xp on my old hard drive. Now, there's stuff i want to get off that one and put on this one. What will happen if i plug the old one in? Will it destroy my computer and hurt? Or will it change knowing that the new one is the booted drive and i'll be able to get stuff off it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It wont distroy your computer no matter how bad you screw it up (sides like forcing cables in backwards and stuff but thats hard to do becuase they got the things). You would have to make sure the jumper is set to CS (cable select) and plugged into the slave on the IDE cable or set to slave. If its not set on slave the worse that can happen is the computer wont boot and you will have to move the jumper. No permanent damage. So I would look on the label becuase they usally have the jumper setting and get some tweasers or soemthing to move the jumper and try it.

yeah, got the jumpers all sweet. just hoping that it doesn't come up and say... "argh, you have 2 c:\ drives... you must now die!!!"
but hopefully it'll be all good!
