    Hello peeps,

    Okay, I have a form I want to create. However,
    I need to form to be semi-transparent so the background shows through. I really do not want to use the default
    white background or any other color. So is it possible to
    create one to my needs? It's just a standard three box form.
    I've looked everywhere but no luck. Thanks.

    One way to do it is like this:

    You don't use a background for the table in which you've the form. For the background of the page you use the bgimage you want to use. Then add this to the <body> tag:

    bgproperties="fixed"

    so that it looks like this:

    <body bgcolor=#FFFFFF background="background.gif" bgproperties="fixed">
    www.nyanko.ws - My web-, software- and game development company.
    www.mayaposch.com - My personal site and blog.

    I don't think you can make them semi transpaarent. But you can set the style to have a background image with the attribute

    style="background-image: url(path/to/file.gif)"

    in the input tag. I just tested it using IE 5.0 and it worked for 'input type=text' and also 'textarea', didn't work for 'select'. Netscape didn't work.

    Digitelta,

    Thanks a lot for the tip. I'll use it. Netscape users will just have to miss out Elledan, I haven't tried your method yet, CSS will do fine. Thanks.
